Central Zone defeated East Zone by 4 wickets. Central Zone skipper Prashant Malviya won the toss and put the opposition in to bat. This was a low scoring match. East Zone batsman could compile only 107 runs in 34.1 overs. Their wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. Ankush Singh accounted for the dismissal of 4 batsmen. Harjeet Singh and Yoginder Panchal captured two wickets each and Sunil Upadhaya and Subhash Dixit took one wicket each.

The victory target was achieved by Central Zone in 33 overs after losing only 6 wickets. Prashant Malviya scored 32 and Sunil Tomar scored 28.
