Bolstered by a chanceless, unbeaten, century by Kerala's Harikrishnan
(109, 9x4, 176m, 141b), Kerala coasted to a comfortable 6-wicket win
over Andhra in the Ranji One-day (50 overs) Subbiah Pillai Trophy
fixture, at the Vizzy Stadium. He was ably supported by Sunil Oasis
(37, 4x4). The two put on 95 runs for the third wicket.
Kerala won the toss and put Andhra into bat. The made an early inroad
by dismissing Andhra captain Amit Pathak at the score of 15. A second
wicket partnership of 86 between LN Prasad Reddy, who top scored for
Andhra with 79 (4x4), and V Nagini Kumar was the only bright spot in
the Andhra innings, as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals,
to be dismissed for 209 in 50 overs. The pick of the Kerala bowlers
was skipper AnanthaPadmanabhan with 3 for 35.
