Hyderabad must look forward to score quick runs tommorrow to force an outright win. Earlier Harminder Jugnu's cavalier (90) took Punjab past Hyderabad's 260 to take first innings points. Jagnu added 100 runs while at the wicket with four partners of which his contribution being 90 runs, while four other batsmen contributed 8 and 2 runs accruing from extras, such was the dominance of the diminutive wicket-keeper batsman from Punjab. Requiring 177 in a minimum of 56 overs, Punjab were cruising nicely with former India opening batsmen Rathour (35) and Sidhu (57) giving Punjab a dream start of 88 runs in a mere 17 overs. Once these two were separated by the veteran off-spinner Kanwaljit Singh, the flood gates opened. From 109 for 1 in the 25th over, Punjab nose-dived to 152 all out. In 26.4 overs Punjab lost 9 wickets adding a mere 43 runs.
