He maintained that some good, attractive cricket is on the cards with spinners playing a bigger role from both sides. He said taking along the Rawalpindi leg spinner Zahir Shah after the 1996 world cup, has worked fine with his team. ``We have also playing and watching the top spinners like Anil Kumble, Shane Warne and Mushtaq Ahmed to strengthen our batting against the spin attack.''
Sizing up the hosts, Cronje said even in the absence of Wasim Akram, Aamir Suhail and Salim Malik, Pakistan was a balanced side. Waqar Younis, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed and a couple of young bowlers are capable and then Saeed Anwar, Inzimam ul Haq and Ejaz Ahmed in batting are as strong.

When asked why the South African team does not have a concentration of their majority black population, Cronje said cricket over the decades was a privileged game. ``But, it is opening up to other sections of the population, and it is only a question of time really when these players who have great potential will be seen in the South African side.''
He said South Africa had a lot of under-15 and under-18 competitions and a few names like Michael, Shafiq Abrahim require couple of good seasons to move up to the national team. He said Paul Adams and Henry already have proven what it takes to form the team. ``Obviously one has to work hard to get some where.'' Giving his views on holding of the Test Cricket World Cup, the skipper said that it requires a decent format and once that is done everything else can be sorted out. ``They have to see whether nine countries will be competing on home or away basis and a number of other things.
