LAHORE, Oct 7: World famous all-rounder Wasim Akram said onTuesday that he had reported to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that he was fit for play.

He was talking to reporters at the LCCA Ground on Monday where he did practice in the training camp along with the young cricketers of the LCCA team which would take part in the forthcoming National Under-19 Cricket Trophy Grade-I Tournament.

If the PCB accepted Wasim Akram's fitness report, he will be playing the second Test against South Africa to be held at Sheikhupura, from October 17. He was out of the arena for last five months due to the nagging shoulder injury.

Wasim Akram said that he did not feel any problem after bowling 16 overs in the Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Trophy Grade I match which was played between LCCA and KCCA whites at the former ground from October 3 to 6.

Representing LCCA, Wasim Akram got three wickets of KCCA's first innings on the opening day of that match. Afterwards, the match could not be resumed due to Saturday's rain.

He said that the match could not be completed due to Saturday rain, indeed, but it gave him golden opportunity to test his fitness for international matches.

Another Test discarded paceman Ata-ur-Rahman also did practice with Wasim Akram.
