Cork smashed two sixes and three fours in a rapid-fire 34 not out from 16 balls, guiding Derby to the target of 289 with two wickets, and three balls, to spare.
Lancashire had earlier piled up 587 for nine in their first innings, set Derbyshire their target by declaring their second innings on 174 for three. Derbyshire skipper Dean Jones then set up the victory charge with a brilliant 110 and a third-wicket stand of 198 with Kim Barnett (92). Lancashire then hit back with five wickets for 20 runs to Derby to 240 for seven.
