Glamorgan Trumped

By Edward Bevan

Somerset (217) beat Glamorgan (193) by 24 runs

GLAMORGAN lost eight wickets for only 19 runs at Swansea as off-
spinner Harvey Trump exploited a turning pitch to give Somerset a
24-run victory.

Trump took three wickets including a stunning caught and bowled
to dismiss Matthew Maynard and from there on Glamorgan, chasing
Somerset`s total of 218, were unable to master an accurate at-
tack.

Australian Shane Lee made a significant all-round contribution.
He took two wickets and top-scored for Somerset, with 71 not out,
but was twice dropped - on 12 when Robert Croft failed to take a
return catch and 16 runs later when Steve James spilled a chance
at midwicket.
