Former captain Clive Lloyd is the new team manager, former fast bowler Malcolm Marshall the new coach and veteran paceman Courtney Walsh the captain following the retirement of Richie Richardson.

The Australians won the Frank Worrell Trophy - traditional symbol of supremacy between the two teams - with a 2-1 series triumph in the Caribbean 18 months ago.

That was the West Indies' first defeat in 30 Test series dating back to 1980 in New Zealand.

``But there is still a lot of belief in this team in the West Indies,'' said Lloyd.

Star batsman Brian Lara said the tourists were confident and that he has set himself several goals.

``I'd like to see myself getting three centuries or even four,'' he said.

``Everyone remembers my 277 in Sydney last time we toured, but in the other four Tests i only scored about 200 - so that means I wasn't consistent enough,'' Lara said.

``The only aggregate I have set myself is the Frank Worrell Trophy, but as a batsman I'd like to finish in the top one or two in the series.''

Lara, holder of the world record for the highest Test and first-class scores, failed to make a century in last year's series between the West Indies and Australia.

The tourists will start with a traditional tour opener against an Australian Cricket Board Chairman's XI at suburban Lilac Hill on Monday, and then play a day-night match and a three-day game against the Western Australian state team in Perth.

The first Test is scheduled to start in Brisbane on November 22.
