15 October 1996 Bic Mac Ordered To Take It Easy Iqbal Khan Brian McMillan is looking on the bright side as South Africa prepare for their opening Titan Cuo game against India on Thurs- day. He wants to pass a fitness test tomorrow to be able to take his place in the team. The big allrounder is battling to overcome a groin injury which is causing him pain. Craig Smith, the team phyisotherapist, said: "Brian`s got to take things easy for at least another day before he can go flat out. There`s no need to take things slowly and if all works well Brian will have no problem being fully fit for the game." McMillan is the only injury worry at this stage as the South Africans have two days ahead of them to prepare for the first game in the triangular series which also features Australia. Daryll Cullinan has been cleared by Smith. His bruised left shoulder and little finger on the left hand have healed. Meanwhile, India, led by Sachin Tendulkar, arrived in Hyderabad earlier today in preparation for the game. Tendulkar said: "We are looking forward to renewing our contacts with South Afri- ca."
