England A followed up last week's prestige win over Sheffield Shield champions South Australia with a seven-wicket victory over the cricket academy at Mount Gambier, south of here.
The academy collapsed to be all out for 175 in their second innings and then failed to make an impact on England's batsmen as the tourists reached their target of 162 with the loss of three wickets.
Shah helped steer the tourists to victory with an unbeaten innings of 43 to go with a pair of 70s he scored against a New South Wales 2nd XI in the tour opener three weeks ago.
Marsh was impressed with the performance of 18-year-old Shah.
``The young fellow played really well,'' he said. ``If he keeps playing shots like that he won't go far wrong.''
``The English batted positively which is good to see and I thought he and Mark Butcher played the two most impressive innings.''
Yorkshire opener Michael Vaughan top scored in England A's second innings with 70 off 87 balls, while Derbyshire's Andrew Harris was the pick of the English bowlers with 5-61 in the academy's second innings.
England A move onto to Melbourne where they will have a four-day match against Victoria, starting on Thursday.
The Victorian 13-man squad contains seam bowler Damien Fleming, who has played four Tests for Australia taking 17 wickets at 25.58. He was injured last week and was not chosen in the Australian side for Friday's opening test against the West Indies in Brisbane.
The Victorian squad is: Tony Dodemaide (captain), Warren Ayres, Darren Berry, Troy Corbett, Damien Fleming, Michael Foster, Laurie Harper, Ian Harvey, Brad Hodge, David Saker, Brad Stacey, Graeme Vimpani, Brad Williams.
