SRI LANKA TO IMPROVE ON WSC RECORD

The Benson and Hedges World Series Cup (WSC)  which  resumes   on
Monday  provides Sri Lanka for the first time with an opportunity
not only to improve their record in the competition, but also  to
qualify for a place in the final in four attempts.

In each of these tournaments, Sri Lanka were able to win  just  a
solitary  match  which  is the result for such a dismal record of
four wins and 25 losses in 28 WSC matches played so far.  A  not-
able  feature  of Sri Lanka`s four victories  is  that  they have
all  been achieved when batting second.
