Jason - 18 Jan 1993

CricInfo report

Australia started comfortably against New Zealand's fast-medium opening bowlers Turner and Harris. However the advent of medium pacer Emily Drumm and offspinner Catherine Campbell changed the course of the match, with Drumm taking the first four wickets as the visitors slumped to 34-4. At the other end Campbell bowled her 10 overs consecutively, conceding just 10 runs.

Australian number 3 Zoe Goss scored a splendid 51 to rescue her team, which finished on 138-9. Drumm took 4-31.

After the New Zealand openers fell quickly, Debbie Hockley played a vital role with 50. At 96-6 however with Hockley gone, the game was in the balance as overs were running out.

At this point Drumm complemented her fine bowling performance with a hard hit 39 not out, as New Zealand won with 3 wickets and 8 balls to spare. For Australia Goss also had a great all round performance, taking 3-30.
