Apart from Andrew Grant no other Prahan player passed 20 against
a good even bowling lineup.

Ringwood 9-237 (Ricci 79*)
d Carlton 230
Another captain Brendan Ricci was the only major scorer for his
team only this time Ringwood scraped past Carlton.
Sniegowski (Glad I'm not doing this on radio) took 4 for 66 for
Carlton.

Collingwood 7-274 (Emerson 64 Amalfi 55 Parker 6-74)

Stalwart Emerson and sometime state bat Amalfi top scored for
Collwingwood in a reasonably comfortable victory over Richmond

Harper helped whilst Warne joined the fun later.

Geelong 6-285 (Bakker 82 Kiddle 72 Neville 52)
d Frankson Peninsula 150
Geelong had a fine first up win with captain Neville starting it
and the Jason Bakker and Rod Kiddle made it a big win.

Footscray 3-104 & 3-183
d North Melbourne 101 & 185
What can I say but aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!. Another poor battin effort
from North Melbourne with only Clint McCarthy making any runs
with 50, Tony Dodemaide took 4 for 50. Needing 183 to win
Foostcray openers blew the bowling away with opening bowlers go-
ing for 3-0-27-0 and 2-0-17-0, it got no better and Footscray won
easily.
