Date-stamped : 21 May94 - 02:24 Pakistan v West Indies, 3rd ODI, Port-of-Spain, 27 Mar 1993 Pakistan won by 7 wickets. Much of the prize money for Pakistan`s second win in their last 11 one-day games against West Indies went towards a fine for bowling only 45 overs in the time alloted for 50. Pakistan owed victory not to the shortfall, however, but to Inzimam-ul-Haq and Asif Mujtaba, who plundered West Indies bowling for 131 from 18 overs. For the first time in the series West Indies decided to bat, fearing that the pitch, the one used the day before, would be losing its bounce. Lara`s first failure heralded West Indies` defeat. Its impact was softened by a stand of 82 from Haynes and Simmons, but it was only in the last 15 overs that West Indies gathered momentum. Thanks: 1994 Wisden Contributed by cp (help@cricinfo.com)
