Date-stamped : 21 May94 - 02:24 Pakistan v West Indies, 2nd ODI, Port-of-Spain March 26 1993 West Indies won by 5 wickets. Although Pakistan had lost the opening match for want of runs, they strengthened their attack, replacing Asif Mujtaba with Aamir Nazir. He proved the pick of their bowlers with 3 for 43. The toss again proved crucial. A heavy downpour before the start left behind a humid atmosphere and the ball moved about a lot. Furth- er rain midway through Pakistan`s innings deprived them of five overs in which to throw the bat. After another steady but cau- tious start a total of 194 was below par. But Pakistan really went out of the race when Inzimam-ul-Haq put down an easy slip chance from Lara off Wasim Akram`s second ball. Thus reprieved, Lara piloted West Indies to victory with four overs to spare, though his unbeaten 95 from 106 balls seemed sedate compared with his century in Jamaica.
