it was a first-class fixture, being between two first-class
teams, but the SACU subsequently denied it first-class status.
- Two records that had to be deleted from the record books were
Dunk's maiden first-class century and Kaschula's hat-trick
(Flanagan, Pope, Wheatley), which would have been the first by
a Rhodesian in first-class cricket.
