- This match was a benefit match for W.Flowers. Unfortunately
for him the first day, Whit-Monday, was washed out and when
play eventually began the match was completed in just 185
minutes. The shortest completed first-class match but a
disaster for the beneficiary. Hearne took 3 wickets in 4
balls in the first innings and Trott took 3 wickets in his
first over of the second innings.
