Worcestershire announce strong team to take on India
Worcestershire CCC Media Release - 30 July 2002

Worcestershire County Cricket Club have announced a very strong team to take on India at New Road for the 4-day Tourist Match starting on Wednesday 31st July. The Team will be selected from:-

Anurag Singh
Steven Peters
Graeme Hick (capt)
Ben Smith
Vikram Solanki
Gareth Batty
James Pipe (w/k)
Kabir Ali
Matt Mason
Matt Rawnsley
Alamgir Sheriyar
Duncan Catterall.

Chief Executive Mark Newton says, "We are putting out a virtually full strength team for this important match against India. We regard the Tourist Match as one of the highlights of the season and expect some competitive cricket over the next four days. The fact this game is being played during the school holidays has enabled us to promote the game to young people through a reduced admission charge of just £2 for kids 16 and under."

The match starts on Wednesday 31st July at 11am and admission will be available on the day.
